The Caren House was built by the Caren family in 1810. As Thomas Caren's family grew, so did the house, which gives each part of the house its own charm. Less than 1 hour from N.Y.C. and major airports, the house is located on Orange Turnpike, an historical stagecoach run from N.Y.C. to Albany. The house itself sits on 4 acres with a pond. Across the turnpike from the house is a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. It is also minutes from Woodbury Commons, Sterling Forest National Park, West Point Military Academy, Museum Village, Sugar Loaf Arts and Crafts Village, Storm King Art Center and many fine Hudson Valley Wineries. Or, if you want to relax with a book, you can do so on our 75' front porch or by our country pond on a bench listening to sounds of the country.
